1. Platform Role

Motionometry is a technology marketplace that facilitates rentals, escrow-style payment flows, and dispute handling. Motionometry does not automatically provide insurance for every booking unless explicitly stated in that booking flow.

2. Optional Protection Products

If a booking shows an optional protection or coverage product, the specific policy terms, limits, deductible, exclusions, insurer/underwriter details, and claim windows shown at checkout will control. If no such product is selected, no platform-provided coverage applies.

3. Owner Responsibilities

  • List gear accurately, including serial number, functional condition, and known defects.
  • Document pickup and return condition with timestamped evidence.
  • Maintain any personal/commercial insurance required for your equipment and risk profile.

4. Renter Responsibilities

  • Use equipment only for lawful and intended purposes.
  • Follow handling, storage, and transport instructions.
  • Return all items and accessories by agreed timelines.
  • Immediately report damage, malfunction, theft, seizure, or third-party claims.

5. Incident Reporting and Claims

Claims should be submitted within 24 hours of return or incident discovery with booking ID, timeline, photos/video, chat logs, and relevant documents. For theft or criminal damage, users should file a police complaint promptly and share the complaint details with Motionometry.

6. Exclusions and Denials

Claims or payouts may be reduced or denied for fraud, staged incidents, intentional damage, prohibited use, intoxication, incomplete evidence, tampered serial records, delayed reporting, or breach of Terms.

7. Liability Allocation

Primary liability for loss or damage rests with the user responsible for the incident, subject to booking terms, evidence, and mandatory law. Motionometry may offset escrow/deposits based on dispute outcomes and legal obligations.

8. Limitation of Platform Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motionometry is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of income, or business interruption. Nothing in this page excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
